George Harvey Collegiate Institute (GHCI) strives to prepare students for academic and career success after high school. It is a learning community of all its members: students, parents, and staff working together to pursue educational success for all students. Staff work closely with students to ensure that high expectations are met. Their high academic focus and experiential learning opportunities includes programs such as Co-op, Dual-Credit courses, ESL programs, and five SHSM programs. This great variety of programs ensures that all students have options to pursue their skills and passion. The interwoven leadership expectation for all members of this school encourages active participation in school life, resulting in everyone making positive contributions.

This exhibition was created by high school students at George Harvey
Collegiate Institute, just south of little Jamaica.

Engage - Design - Build
The John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design has partnered with the TDSB working with highschool youth to engage the community around their school, design, and build community oriented projects in their neighborhood! Our goal is to open pathways for underrepresented youths to a careers in architecture and design by applying technical design skills from their curriculum to a project that engages current events in their school’s neighborhood, i.e. helping youths see design in their daily lives.
